The blue shroud is a personal preference. Jesus showed up in a dream to me once, (no prophetic messages, he honestly just walked by) and all I remember seeing of him was his dark blue robes. So, since then any artistic representation of Him has included a blue robe or shroud, rather than the typical red or violet.
